Pinellas County Schools (PCS) is one of the largest districts in Florida, and it serves over 100,000 students. We’re proud to announce Fearless was recently awarded two contracts with PCS.
On the Student Data Modernization (SDM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization contracts, we’ll help transform PCS’s systems into modern digital services. And through this work, we’ll help the district deliver positive and sustainable support to its students.
“In working alongside Fearless in our modernization journey, the district is also growing our internal capacity for systems transformation,” said Jennifer Dull, Chief Strategy and Impact Officer for Pinellas County Schools. “It is a tremendous learning experience with the focus always on how we can best serve our schools and students.”
Background on the SDM and ERP contracts.
This isn’t the first time Fearless has worked with PCS. In 2021, we helped craft a path forward for the district’s digital transformation journey.
PCS supports the growth and development of its students through dozens of applications. But many of these systems rely on older technologies, and this can make them hard to use. Fearless was first contracted by PCS to perform discovery into these issues. And on the SDM and ERP contracts, we'll continue supporting this important work.
“Through these contracts, we'll help modernize and future-proof some of PCS's most critical systems," said Fearless Portfolio Director Rob Wainwright. “We'll also support PCS's digital transformation, putting in place modern digital services practices. This will minimize the risk of these systems becoming quickly outdated, setting PCS up for success today and in the future.”
About digital transformation on the SDM and ERP contracts.
“The district learned a great deal by engaging in the discovery process. We are excited to begin the work to modernize our systems and processes so that all our stakeholders have access to actionable data and ultimately be able to tailor individual student instruction in real-time,” Dull said.
On the SDM contract, we'll work to transform PCS’s Student Data system into a modern digital service. One of our core goals is to make the system more intuitive and usable for the students, parents, faculty, and administrators that it serves.
To achieve this, we’ll provide cloud migration, service design, data governance, agile coaching, and other services. Through this work, we'll help reduce manual processes and provide easy access to quality data. In this way, we’ll create a modern and scalable Student Data system that can meet the dynamic demands of both the student population and school system.
While we’ll also provide coaching and modernization support to ERP, we’ll be operating at a slightly higher level on this contract. We’ll act as technical program consultants as PCS and a selected vendor work to modernize the ERP system. Work will include program and product management, technical advising, solicitation development, and more. Through this we’ll help PCS understand how to better align the ERP system to user needs.
“We’re excited to continue partnering with PCS on its digital transformation efforts,” said Rob. "On the SDM and ERP contracts, we'll have the opportunity to support the people who rely on these systems every day, whether they’re students checking their grades or administrators tracking health and safety data.”
