Over a dozen organizations within the State of New Jersey collaborate to support the State’s approximately 900,000 businesses. Currently starting and growing a business means navigating multiple manual processes that stretch across several organizations.
Utilizing service design and redesigning the technical architecture of NJ.gov, the Fearless team will build, integrate, and maintain to support the State of New Jersey's business and permit modernization program.
“This digital transformation will help small businesses and drive efficiency in the state government. By modernizing the processes, it will be easier for small business owners to obtain and maintain their licenses and grow their businesses. In the long run, the better infrastructure will save taxpayers money and lead to improved customer service,” said Fearless product manager Aaron Viscomi.
Digital transformation.
Through this effort, business owners will gain the ability to start and manage their business filings with the State. Using a public-facing authenticated website to support the growth of their businesses.
A powerful and sustainable backend will bolster Fearless’ modernized digital solution for NJ.gov. It will feature an intuitive user interface (UI) that provides a positive experience from the very first use.
By equipping the state with the right digital tools, data sharing across State agencies, departments and divisions will be easier.
To redesign the State’s existing Business and Permit solution infrastructure and integrate it into the new modernized interactive platform, team Fearless will leverage DevOps processes across all environments in our approach to engineering and strategy for the technical solution.
“This is a digital transformation and change management effort for the state of NJ. And it will transform how small businesses interact with the NJ.gov website and its services,” said Fearless Portfolio Director Julia Ward. “It affects various mayor's offices and the governor's office’s ability to help citizens.
