Fearless has been awarded a 3-year $35 million contract through GSA’s Pandemic Ready Interoperability Modernization Effort (PRIME) to support the development, maintenance, and continued modernization of CDC's Enterprise Data Exchange (DEX).
The Centers for Disease Control and U.S. Digital Services (USDS) are working together through The Pandemic-Ready Interoperability Modernization Effort (PRIME) to strengthen data quality and information technology systems in state and local health departments.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Fearless to leverage our full suite of capabilities as a digital services integrator. We’re supporting the customer experience, improving visibility and readability of data through human-centered design (HCD) and service design techniques, product management methods, and agile software development principles,” shares Fearless Digital president Alka Bhave.
Building a robust CDC Data Exchange platform.
DEX is intended to be a platform that includes data ingestion, validation, routing, streaming, and provisioning, to receive data from hospitals, clinics, laboratories, non-profits, intermediaries and other government agencies, and to provide data and other metadata back to these same entities through APIs and portals.
This transformative project aims to establish a robust platform that encompasses a wide spectrum of functionalities, including seamless data ingestion, comprehensive validation, efficient routing, real-time streaming, seamless provisioning, and user-friendly portals.
Working with Fearless on this project are Pluribus Digital and Mechanicode.
"We're thrilled to share our Cloud Engineering expertise with CDC DEX. At Mechanicode, we believe in the transformative power of automation and it's ability to foster agility,” shares Mechanicode founder Emmanuel Apau. “Our approach involves automating environments, empowering engineers across teams to own infrastructure and contribute in a shared responsibility model.”
